Meditation is a commonly used practice to produce numerous benefits, such as to reduce stress, increase calmness and clarity and to promote happiness. While happiness and calmness gained through regular mediation practice can bring short term effects, happiness gained through stream entry will last longer and remain stable. Learning how to meditate in a way that will lead to stream entry is an essential part of a complete practice. With the guidance of an arahant, an expert in Buddha’s teachings and a noble friend, we offer you clear instructions to develop factors of stream entry that will lead to awakening.
To gain maximum benefit, please attend all classes.
A noble disciple with the four factors of stream-entry is a stream-enterer.
“Bhikkhus, a noble disciple who possesses four things is a stream-enterer, no longer bound to the nether world, fixed in destiny, with enlightenment as his destination. What four? “
“Here, bhikkhus, a noble disciple possesses confirmed confidence in the Buddha thus: ‘The Blessed One is ‘ ” teacher of devas and humans, the Enlightened One, the Blessed One.’ He possesses confirmed confidence in the Dhamma … in the Sangha. … He possesses the virtues dear to the noble ones, unbroken … leading to concentration. A noble disciple, bhikkhus, who possesses these four things is a stream-enterer … with enlightenment as his destination.”
